What is an Employee Card and Who Needs It?
If you’re a non-EU citizen and have secured job offer in the Czech Republic, you’ll need to apply for an Employee Card, a type of long-term residence permit tied to employment. You must apply in person at the Czech embassy in your home country, or in Dresden if you’re a citizen of eligible countries (you can find more information in text)
The Employee Card is a long-term residence and work permit for non-EU nationals who plan to work in the Czech Republic for more than 90 days. It allows you to legally stay and work in the country and is tied to a specific job position.
If you’ve received a job offer from a Czech employer, this is the permit you need to live and work in the Czech Republic legally.
