Frequently Asked Questions
How exactly are the 5 years calculated?
Standard years (work/business) count as 100%. Student years (účel studium) count as 50%. We calculate your exact “Eligibility Date” so you don’t apply too early and face a rejection.
What is the new 2026 A2 Exam format?
As of April 2026, the exam focuses more on active speaking and real-life office/work situations.
Can I travel while my application is pending?
Yes. If your current card expires while you wait, we can arrange a Bridging Visa so you can travel freely outside the Czech Republic.
Does permanent residence expire?
The status itself is permanent, but the residence card must be renewed periodically.
